Prediction

On paper, this is a game the Eagles should probably win. The game is in Philadelphia; the Eagles have the better offense and the better quarterback. What is there to lead you to believe that the Eagles won’t win?

Well at this point in the season, all bets are off. As we have seen this season especially, anything is possible. These are two desperate teams fighting for their playoff lives. The Redskins don’t care that they don’t have their starting quarterback. Last year’s Super Bowl champions didn’t have their starting quarterback.

This is going to come down to which team wants it more. Washington’s defense is going to do everything in their power to fluster the Eagles’ offense and keep this game close. The last thing the Eagles want is for there to be a window of opportunity for McCoy to win this game.

The Eagles are going to need to take control of this game early and jump on the Redskins quickly. They need to play with that same level of desperation that they did in the second half last week. Can they do that and keep their season alive?

It will be an electric crowd on Monday night, and that will give the Eagles the edge. They will ride that momentum and get enough points early to put the game onto McCoy’s shoulders. Then, the Eagles will do enough late to put this game away.

Next. Philadelphia Eagles shouldn’t take carries away from Josh Adams for Darren Sproles. dark

For the first time this season, the Eagles will win back-to-back games and head to Dallas next Sunday for a shot at first place in the NFC East.
