8. Pittsburgh Steelers

Boy, what happened to the Pittsburg Steelers in Week 12?

After stringing together six straight wins against relatively tough teams like the Cleveland Browns, the Baltimore Ravens, and the Carolina Panthers, the Steelers somehow found a way to drop a very winnable game against the Denver Broncos at Mile High.

Whether you blame it on bad luck, a bad fumble by James Conner, or poor play-calling decisions by Mike Tomlin, the Steelers seriously couldn’t afford to drop a game like this with future contests against NFL heavyweights like the Los Angeles Chargers, New England Patriots, and New Orleans Saints still on the schedule moving forward.

Factor in the sudden resurgence of the Baltimore Ravens behind the arm, and legs of freshman signal caller Lamar Jackson, and the Steelers’ road to the playoffs, let alone the AFC Championship game just got a whole lot more cloudy.

But fear not fans in the steel city, for this team isn’t doomed by any stretch of the imagination.

With one of the most potent offensive assaults in the league and a defense that can give up fewer points than their offense scores, the Steelers are still a team that can make a run at the Super Bowl if things call their way, with or without Le’Veon Bell.
