NFL Power Rankings: Philadelphia Eagles keep hope alive in Week 13
12. Seattle Seahawks
At this point, I’m pretty much convinced the Seattle Seahawks can’t have a normal rebuilding process.
Typically, when a team’s established veteran corps starts to fall apart after steadily losing their footing in the Super Bowl hunt, they will fall back to earth and take a few seasons to reload the cupboard with a collection of young player from which to build a new identity around.
However, apparently, no one told this to the dynamic duo of Pete Carroll and Russell Wilson, as they’re still fully gunning for a spot in the postseason.
A new look secondary without Richard Sherman, Kam Chancellor, and Earl Thomas? No problem.
A new look defensive line without Michael Bennett, Bruce Irvin, and Garrison Smith? Who cares?
At this point, the Seahawks look like a team that can not only roll with anyone but actually take a shot at marquee teams like the Los Angeles Rams, even if they ultimately couldn’t pull out a W in Week 11.
Will that be enough to win the NFC West? Not a chance, but the Seahawks could still make the playoffs as a wildcard, and with their track record, that would be a pretty formidable round one showdown to be sure.
Jimmy Graham who?
