NFL Power Rankings: Philadelphia Eagles keep hope alive in Week 13
22. Cincinnati Bengals
Man, the Cincinnati Bengals are dropping like flies down these power rankings.
After getting off to an uncharacteristicly fast start this season, the Bengals have dropped three straight games in route to a 5-6 record in the AFC North and right out of the playoff conversation for the second straight season.
Things are so bad in the Jungle that the Bengals actually brought in Hue Jackson in a last-ditch attempt to return to the postseason, let alone win a game once they get there.
However, things took a decidedly ugly turn in Week 12 when the Cleveland Browns, Jackson’s former team, marched into Cincinnati and beat the Bengals 35-20.
To add insult to injury, not only did the Bengals’ lose Andy Dalton to a mid-game finger injury but upon intercepting one of ‘the Red Rifle’s final pass attempts of the afternoon, Damarious Randall ran over to the Bengals’ sideline and handed Jackson picked off the ball.
Boy, that is just embarrassing.
So, while the Bengals technically aren’t the worst team in the AFC North, they certainly will be soon, as their arrow is firmly pointing downwards towards another season atop the NFL Draft picking order.
