NFL Power Rankings: Philadelphia Eagles keep hope alive in Week 13
24. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Are the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the worst team in football on the field? No, certainly not, but are they the worst team off the field? Yes, yes they are, and that’s really saying something.
Lead by a coaching staff in serious risk of being fired this offseason and a quarterback who just can’t seem to say out of trouble in his free time; the Bucs may be the most volatile organization in all of professional sports, not just the NFL.
Sure, the Buccaneers technically found a way to win against the incredibly undermanned San Francisco 49ers on their home turf, but that just elevated the team into a two-way tie for the third place in the NFC South with the Atlanta Falcons, a horribly unimpressive consolation prize for a team that looked incredibly formidable when they took the Philadelphia Eagles to task in Week 2.
Regardless of whether the team decides to start Jameis Winston or Ryan Fitzpatrick down the stretch, this season is effectively over the for the Buccaneers.
Sure, they still technically have to play the last five games of the season, and could conceivably even beat a team like the hemorrhaging Panthers, Cowboys, or Falcons, but if this team is going to right their ship, they need to think long and hard about what type of team they want to be moving forward, and alter their trajectory this offseason.
