7. Los Angeles Chargers

A home meeting with the Denver Broncos almost seemed like a guarantee for the Los Angeles Chargers to extend their impressive winning streak to seven games when seeing how the two teams compared on paper. But once again, Sunday was the perfect example of how there are no guarantees when it comes to the NFL, and the Chargers unfortunately suffered a devastating loss to the Broncos to lose for the first time since September.

With all of the hype surrounding the Kansas City Chiefs being a strong Super Bowl contender in the AFC, Los Angeles was making things interesting in the race for the AFC West title since they were only one-game back of first place prior to Week 11. Depending on what happens on Monday, the Chargers could now end up trailing the Chiefs by two games if they go on to defeat the Los Angeles Rams.

One loss doesn’t define an entire season, and just because Los Angeles lost at the last second to Denver shouldn’t result in anyone panicking about their playoff chances. In fact, the Chargers should still be viewed as one of the last teams any opponent would want to face in the playoffs, because this team has proven to be that dangerous.
