16. Tennessee Titans

Just when it seemed like the Tennessee Titans were earning the respect once again as a contender in the AFC, Sunday’s game against the Indianapolis Colts took place, in which they looked more like a pretender during the 38-10 loss. And if losing the way they did wasn’t already frustrating enough for the Titans, the team watched Marcus Mariota leave again with an elbow injury, putting their chances of making a final playoff even more in doubt.

With all due respect to Blaine Gabbert, Tennessee is never going to be able to return to the playoffs for a second year in a row if Mariota is unable to go under center, especially when seeing how well he had played in the previous two games leading up to Week 11. Then again, even if Mariota had a solid game against the Colts, it still doesn’t take away from how horrendous the defense looked for the Titans.

Watching Tennessee limit the New England Patriots to just 10 points during their previous game made it seem like shutting down Indianapolis wouldn’t be that much trouble. Instead, the Titans continue to look like a team with more questions than answers for this final stretch of the regular season.
