Hold the Saints to field goals

The Saints are going to move the ball on Sunday. They are probably going to move the ball and may even get up to 400 yards of total offense in this game. Dallas had no issue moving the ball, and with the injuries the Eagles have on defense, Drew Brees and company should be able to do the same.

The key for the Eagles’ defense will be to play more of a bend but don’t break style of defense. When New Orleans gets into the red zone, it will be up to the Eagles’ defense to tighten up and keep the Saints out of the end zone.

That will be no easy task, and there is nothing to say that the Eagles will do that. New Orleans has a ton of threats who are lethal in the red zone. Mark Ingram on the ground, Alvin Kamara on the ground and in the passing game, as well as Michael Thomas on the outside. It is safe to say Brees has a ton of weapons to choose from when he gets down to the red zone.

Who are the Eagles going to have to slow down these weapons in the red zone? Jalen Mills is likely out, Ronald Darby is done for the season, and Sidney Jones should be back, but how much can he be trusted?

It will be a patchwork secondary trying to slow down the Saints lethal offensive attack on Sunday. It will be tough, but if they can find a way to keep them out of the end zone and hold them to field goals, then they should at least give the Eagles a chance.
