5. Butler brings toughness Philly needs

Any athlete that has played in the City of Brotherly Love knows Philadelphia has a special sort of toughness to it, which is why Butler seems like he’s going to fit right in with his new team. Whether it was his time with the Chicago Bulls or brief period with the Minnesota Timberwolves, Butler has established a reputation for being one of the toughest players in the NBA, which is just one of many reasons why the Sixers are so excited to have him on board.

To be the best, a team like Philadelphia needs to be able to compete with the best, and when it comes to handling some of the top players on other teams, Butler will be ready to do whatever it takes to help out.

Obviously, the Sixers are already loaded with tough players like Joel Embiid, Ben Simmons, and J.J. Redick, but having another player with Butler’s toughness will put them in a much better position when they are facing teams like the Raptors or Celtics. Without question, Butler is going to love being part of Philadelphia in general when seeing how the toughness of the city arguably describes his personality. And if Butler makes the Sixers stronger contenders, he’s going to love this experience even more.
