NFL Power Rankings: Philadelphia Eagles fall flat in Week 11
28. New York Jets
The New York Jets may have had the worst afternoon of any team in the league.
After having their starting rookie quarterback Sam Darnold ruled out for yet another game, the New York Jets and ex-Temple Owls head coach Todd Bowles somehow found a way to lose a divisional battle against Matt Barkley and the Buffalo Bills; only scoring 10 points while giving up 41 to the Bills typically unimpressive offensive assault.
As Philly fans the world over already know, you simply can’t overlook LeSean McCoy in the offensive backfield, regardless of who is calling plays under center.
So, with the New York Jet ow sitting at 3-7 and almost half a dozen games back from the New England Patriots in the AFC East, can we finally stick a fork in the Big Apple’s playoff aspirations?
Yes, I think it’s pretty safe to say the Meadowlands will not be hosting a playoff game this season, or anytime soon for that matter.
While I highly doubt the Jets will opt to release Bowles later this season, or even after it’s completed, it’s clear something has to change to deliver Darnold and company to the postseason, be that through the draft, free agency, or a staff shakeup.
