NFL Power Rankings: Philadelphia Eagles fall flat in Week 11
29. Arizona Cardinals
Earlier this week, ex-UCLA Bruins quarterback Josh Rosen made minor headlines around the Delaware Valley by highlighting a shirt he owned as a youth: Philadelphia Eagles shirt with the slogan ‘my coach could eat your coach’.
While this is hilarious, it couldn’t help the Arizona Cardinals do much of anything against the loaded Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead, as Reid’s squad breezed past the Birds in a game that was never really all that close.
Forced to play behind one of the worst offensive lines in football, with nary an offensive playmaker insight outside of David Johnson, who had 85 receiving yards and 98 rushing yards and a 35-year-old Larry Fitzgerald, Rosen was victimized by the Chiefs, taking five sacks for 42 while throwing a pair of interceptions.
And to make matters worse, he has to watch from the sidelines as Patrick Mahomes, a player who, for all intents and purposes is also a rookie signal caller, have yet another flashy performance thanks to one of the best supporting casts in the league.
It doesn’t matter how many yards Johnson earns for his team as a rusher and receiver; he can’t be the entire offense. Until the team finds a more varied offensive assault and bolsters that line, the Rosen One will be playing without a full deck of cards.
