30. Denver Broncos

The Denver Broncos‘ season is officially over.

Now granted, there are still seven more weeks left in the season, but if the last week has been of any indication, it’s pretty safe to say this season is a wash in the Mile High City.

Need proof?

John Elway opted to trade his best offensive weapon, Demaryius Thomas, to the Houston Texans at the trade deadline, even though his team was facing them in their next contest.
You don’t typically do that if you want to win games, even if you have a bye week before the contest.

But how did we get to this point? Was signing Case Keenum to a 3-year deal last spring? Eh, maybe. But who could have predicted that the team would flip Trevor Siemian to the Chiefs, released Paxton Lynch for nothing, and watch Chad Kelly ruin his own career by getting arrested?

Needless to say, this has been a wild year in Denver, and unfortunately, there’s not a whole lot the team can do about it but hopefully draft a better quarterback to sit behind Keenum moving forward. With holes all over the roster and a head coach on the hot seat, things may be worse in Denver before they get much better.
