NFL Power Rankings: Philadelphia Eagles fall flat in Week 11
1. New Orleans Saints
As the big winners of Week 10’s winner-take-all fight for the soul of the NFC, the New Orleans Saints without a doubt deserve to be the best team in the league in our power rankings.
With one of the most potent offenses the NFL has seen in recent memory, the Saints look like a team who could beat anyone, regardless of where it’s played, and what time, or who it’s against, even after losing Dez Bryant for the season to an ACL injury on his second practice with the team.
Bryant? The Saints don’t need no stinking Bryant to be a Super Bowl contender, all they need to do is make it to the playoffs healthy, with maybe the slightest improvement on the defensive side of the field.
So, needless to say, it didn’t seem like the Saints would have much to worry about when they took the party on the road to face off against the Cincinnati Bengals in the Jungle.
51 points and 60 minutes later, that premonition was proven true.
While the Saints do have a pretty challenging schedule moving forward, with bouts against the Panthers, Eagles, and Steelers moving forward, it’s almost unimaginable that New Orleans won’t finish out the season with double-digit wins, and more likely than not a Wildcard bye.
