6. Pittsburgh Steelers

Oh hey, the Pittsburgh Steelers.

As you may have just read, on literally the last slide, the Steelers dropped the hammer on the Panthers in a game that some predicted could be a preview of Super Bowl 53.

In reality, only one of those teams may be in that conversation, and that’s the Steelers.
In the game where five different players caught receiving touchdowns and both JuJu Smith-Schuster and Antonio Brown went for over 90, the Steelers may have finally proved once and for all that they don’t need Le’Veon Bell to be a dominant team as long as James Connor is in the game.

Which is good, because barring some magical turnaround, it looks like they will be without him the remainder of the season.

Now granted, this isn’t the end of the world, as the team has been without the all-world back all season, but with James Conner in concussion protocol and their bye week already passed, it looks like the Steelers will have to win or lose with the players they currently have on their roster, that is, if they can all remain on the field for a while season.

As one of the major boom or bust squads in the league off the field, if the Steelers can stay focused on the game, they could be a tough out in the playoffs, but will that actually happen? We’ll have to wait and see.
