32. Oakland Raiders

Oakland Raiders are bad.

How bad? So bad, that the team got embarrassingly put away by the San Francisco 49ers on Monday Night Football by their third-string quarterback by a score of 34-3.

Up until that point, said player, Nick Mullens wasn’t even verified on Twitter, and yet he somehow found a way to defeat two $100 million men in Derek Carr and Jon Gruden.

Needless to say, expectations weren’t particularly high when Raider Nation welcomed the Los Angeles Chargers to town for a Week 11 for a California showdown. While the game wasn’t a total blowout, as the score was only 20-6, it really was a textbook case of a great team playing down to their competition, not a pair of teams on even footing.

So now, as the unfortunate owners of the worst record in football at 1-8, at least until the Giants play on Monday night, the good news is Raiders fans only have to sit through 7 more games this season, before reading the rewards of tanking in next spring’s NFL draft.

But will this new collection of players be enough to turn the tides, or are Oakland, and eventually Las Vegas’ problems bigger than their team ’s players?
