NFL Power Rankings: Philadelphia Eagles fall flat in Week 11
21. Indianapolis Colts
Are the Indianapolis Colts a good football team? No.
But are the Indianapolis Colts a better football team than the Jacksonville Jaguars? As of Week 11, the answer to that question has to be yes, yes they are.
After going ahead to a 13-point lead before halftime, the Colts slowly watched Blake Bortles and the Jacksonville Jags inch closer and closer to a fourth-quarter comeback, but ultimately fell four points short of pulling off such a feat.
But what does this mean for the state of the AFC South? Honestly, not much.
At this point, it’s basically a foregone conclusion that the Houston Texans are going to represent the division in the playoffs, and if the Titans’ 20 point win over the Patriots is of any indication, it would appear they too will be making a postseason appearance under their first-year head coach.
Will Frank Reich and company do the same in his first season as a head coach? Probably not.
With a pair of games against the Titans, a game against the Dolphins, and a game against the Texans still on their roster, Andrew Luck and the Colts will be lucky to finish out the season with a .500 record, and continue to extend their (lack of a) postseason streak for one more year.
