With Dez Bryant joining the New Orleans Saints, the Philadelphia Eagles will square off against the wideout now during Week 10.

The bye week couldn’t have come at a more perfect time for the Philadelphia Eagles when looking at all of the injuries the team was dealing with on both sides of the football, and one can only imagine the intensity that will take place during Sunday night’s meeting with the Dallas Cowboys.

However, thanks to the New Orleans Saints making a key move on Wednesday in which they agreed to bring Dez Bryant on for the remainder of the season, the Eagles are also looking ahead over what will take place in Week 11 for what should be an epic NFC showdown.

Back at the beginning of the season, Philadelphia was viewed as one of the early favorites to defend their Super Bowl title after last year’s miraculous run. And while that may still very well end up happening, the Eagles have made it clear they still have a lot of work on their plate if they’re going to have any shot at back-to-back titles.

But before jumping that far ahead, all of the focus for Philadelphia will be on winning the NFC East since that seems to be their best chance of punching a ticket to the playoffs when looking at all of the teams competing for a Wild Card spot.

Defeating the Cowboys this weekend would obviously be a major step in the right direction since it helps the Eagles in a big way for the NFC East, but also that game against Bryant and the Saints will be key as well.

Thanks to last weekend’s win that consisted of New Orleans handing the Los Angeles Rams their first loss of the season, Bryant will now be joining a team that currently sits in the top spot of the NFC playoff picture with no signs of slowing down anytime soon.

Football fans can say whatever they want about Bryant’s game being on the decline in recent years, but there’s no question that his presence will now play a key factor in the outcome of this game during Week 11 for Philadelphia.

It was one thing to have to worry about Michael Thomas when looking at the impact he continues to make as a top receiver in the league, but if Bryant can return to his ways from a few years ago, the Eagles will certainly have their hands full.

Then again, when looking at all of those years Bryant spent in the NFC East, at least Philadelphia will have the advantage of being familiar with the wideout’s ways, making this matchup even more exciting to think about.
