8. Chicago Bears

Deep down, the Chicago Bears knew Sunday was going to be quite the favorable matchup when looking at how they compared to the Buffalo Bills, especially with Nathan Peterman playing quarterback. Watching the Bears’ defense alone score two touchdowns of their own shows what kind of contest this was during the team’s 41-9 win to earn their second victory in a row.

Thanks to the win, Chicago remains on top of the NFC North heading into Week 10, but even they know the race for the division title is far from over when looking at how the Minnesota Vikings aren’t too far behind them. Since the defense has quickly established a reputation for being one of the best in the league, whether the Bears are going to remain on top of the division will most likely come down to what kind of play they receive on offense.

Mitch Trubisky is obviously going to be the difference maker for the unit, but watching Jordan Howard find the end zone twice will hopefully provide the running back with a little bit of a confidence boost. Howard and Tarik Cohen have become quite the duo for Chicago in the backfield since they can be just as dangerous as receivers, so the Bears should feel confident about their chances to continue competing if the offense manages to stay consistent for Trubisky.
