9. Houston Texans

Just when it seemed like the Houston Texans were about to watch their impressive winning streak come to an end, the Denver Broncos failed to convert on what would have been the game-winning field goal from 51 yards out as the clock expired. Thanks to this surprise help by the Broncos, the Texans were able to hang on for their sixth win in a row while increasing their lead even more in the AFC South.

Once again, DeAndre Hopkins continues to show why he deserves the consideration for being one of the top receivers in the league after hauling in 10 passes for 105 yards with a score during the 19-17 win for Houston. There were some questions surrounding the Texans on offense after losing Will Fuller V for the year with a torn ACL, but at least the addition of Demaryius Thomas seems like it’s going to help fill that void in the receiving game.

Even though his production was down after a hot start, just seeing Thomas catch three passes for 61 yards in his Texans debut shows what he can bring to the table for this offense. With Houston making a name for themselves as one of the teams to beat in the AFC, Thomas could be a huge difference maker during these final two months to put Houston in the best position possible.
