21. Detroit Lions

Matthew Stafford has seen plenty of rough games throughout his career in which he’s taken plenty of brutal hits, but it’s tough to top what the quarterback experienced on Sunday when the offensive line couldn’t protect him one bit.

Just how bad was it for Stafford and the Detroit Lions? Well, seeing how the Minnesota Vikings were able to sack the Lions quarterback 10 times shows the kind of disappointing game this was for the Lions. And when seeing how they were already in the basement of the NFC North, Detroit can’t be feeling good after this loss.

The Lions were already facing plenty of pressure heading into Sunday’s contest after making the surprise decision to part ways with Golden Tate last week after sending him to the Eagles in a trade. After Detroit failed to find the end zone even once against Minnesota, maybe the team should have thought twice before jumping the gun on moving on from Stafford’s former favorite target when seeing some of the struggles on offense in Week 9.

Detroit was already considered one of the biggest disappointments from 2018 with only three wins to their name, and this outing in Minnesota is the perfect example of what Matt Patricia’s first year has basically been like. Unfortunately, when looking ahead at their next three games, it’s not going to get easier for the Lions anytime soon since two games against the Chicago Bears along with another one facing the Carolina Panthers will be quite challenging.
