Here are four wide receivers the Philadelphia Eagles should target before the 2018 NFL trade deadline on Tuesday.

Knowing the Philadelphia Eagles, there’s a good chance the team will at least make one final attempt to bring a wide receiver on board before Tuesday’s NFL trade deadline, especially since they can use all of the help possible at the position. Alshon Jeffery and Nelson Agholor can be relied on for production on a weekly basis, but beyond these two receivers, the Eagles don’t always see the most consistency.

Take a look at the London game against the Jacksonville Jaguars in which Jordan Matthews finally put together the breakout game Philadelphia has been waiting for after hauling in four catches for 93 yards. Normally, this may not seem like that big of a deal for a player like Matthews, but also keep in mind that prior to the contest, the former Vanderbilt product had only caught six passes in a five-game span.

Even if the argument can be made that Philadelphia knew signing Matthews wouldn’t solve all of their issues at the position, one would assume that he would still be hauling in more than 10 passes through six games.

More consistency from receivers beyond Jeffery and Agholor will certainly put the defending champions in a much better position to defend their Super Bowl title since they currently have a lot of work to accomplish over these final two months of the regular season. All seems quiet at the moment, but in honor of Tuesday’s deadline, here are four receivers the Eagles should consider making a push for to put the offense in better shape since the first eight games have made it clear some extra help at the position certainly wouldn’t hurt.
