25. New York Jets

The New York Jets are the best team in New York City.

However, that’s far from an accomplishment when you consider just how bad the Giants have been so far this season.

While the Jets initially shocked the world by defeating the Detroit Lions in incredible fashion at the beginning of the season, Sam Darnold and the Jets have fallen back to earth slightly over the last few weeks, falling to 3-5 after losing to the Chicago Bears in their Week 9 contest.

Unfortunately, the Jets just aren’t consistent enough to be a good team right now.

Some weeks, the team will put up 40-plus points and looks like world beaters, capable of taking anyone down, and then the next game they will look woefully unprepared and fail to put up enough points to get it done.

So far this season, the Jets are 3-0 in games where they’ve scored 30 or more points, and 0-5 in games where they’ve scored less than 20 points.

Now granted ‘score more points’ is pretty good advice for any NFL team trying to win, but it rings more true for a team like the Jets who already have a solid defense. If they can add some additional firepower this offseason, the Jets may be a surprisingly good team in 2019.
