5. Los Angeles Chargers
Finally, a team from Los Angeles has made it onto the list, though it certainly won’t be the last time.
Though the Rams may get all of the attention, and to be fair rightfully so, the Los Angeles Chargers have put together a pretty solid season as LA’s ‘other’ team, as they are currently tied for the third best record in all of football after playing their first seven games of the season.
And with the team on a bye this week, it’s not hard to forget about the Chargers’ recent string of success on a weekend chocked full of exciting football games.
But next week, that all changes.
With four straight games against the Seahawks, Raiders, Broncos, and Cardinals to start the second half of their season, it looks like the Chargers will arrive in Pittsburgh on December 2nd with a 9-2 record, eagerly attempting to snatch away the AFC West crown from the Kansas City Chiefs.
And hey, if they aren’t able to sneak past the Chiefs, the Chargers are all but a lock to earn a Wild Card bout, as their 5-2 record is currently better than 25 other teams in the league right now, including our hometown Philadelphia Eagles.
