14. Seattle Seahawks

Speaking of teams who were once among the NFL’s elite, the Seattle Seahawks are a team who have lost their way and are hanging on by a…well, feather.

But this hasn’t happened overnight.

No, instead fans in the Seattle have instead had to watch their hometown team get worse and worse with each passing team, to the point where they missed the playoffs entirely last season following almost a half-decade of consistent postseason success.

Now, the Hawks are sitting with a 4-3 record, but no real hope to steal away the NFC West from the juggernaut known as the Los Angeles Rams.

Chalk it up to the dynamic duo of Russell Wilson and Pete Carroll, but the Seahawks are one of those teams who keep sticking around, even if they have no real opportunity to contend anymore, even if the stars were to align over the back half of the season perfectly.

Will the team remain competitive? Sure, as they have a dynamic running quarterback unlike almost any in the league, but with a bad offensive line and a reloading defense, the Hawks will need to restock their cabinets with a bunch of underappreciated assets, a task that’s easier said than done.
