22. Atlanta Falcons

How did the Atlanta Falcons get so bad? Easy, they went from having Kyle Shanahan calling their offense to Steve Sarkisian.

Just ask Alabama, Steve Sarkisian is not someone you want designing an offense.

He’s transformed one of the most potent offenses of the last decade into a shell of its former self.

After fielding the best offense in football back in 2016, the Falcons have regressed considerably year after year and may very well miss out on the spot in the playoffs for the first times since the 2015 season.

Which is crazy, since on paper, the team should at least be as good as they were last season.

Sure, they’ve been without Devonta Freeman for much of the season, but their offensive weapons are roughly the same as last year, maybe even better when you consider the addition of Calvin Ridley to pair with Julio Jones.

But hey, at least the team can’t lose on their bye week, right?

With a week to get things right, maybe we will see a different Falcons team in the second half of the season, and Philly native Matt Ryan will once again look like a true franchise quarterback. If not, there’s always next season.
