27. Cleveland Browns

Despite numerous opportunities to potentially escape with the win, the Cleveland Browns came up short once again in overtime on Sunday, only this time to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. All hope seemed lost when the Browns found themselves trailing 16-2 at one point in the second quarter, and while they deserved credit at the time for pulling off the comeback, losing in overtime as a result of a 59-yard field goal by the Buccaneers made this loss even tougher to accept.

Cleveland only has two wins to their name for the 2018 season, but the argument can be made Hue Jackson’s squad shouldn’t be ruled out just yet when it comes to being a sleeper in the AFC playoff picture. One can only imagine how different the circumstances would be if the Browns had pulled off wins in some of those close losses, but also shows just how much learning this team still needs to do.

The look on Baker Mayfield’s face at the end of overtime says it all about just how frustrating this game was for Cleveland, but at least the rookie quarterback continues to get the necessary experience that will make it all worth it in the long run. On another note, the Browns should also be pleased over the fact that Nick Chubb (80 rushing yards with a touchdown against the Buccaneers) makes it seem like moving on from Carlos Hyde was the right move.
