5. Los Angeles Chargers

Make that four impressive wins in a row for the Los Angeles Chargers, as this team continues to look like one of the top contenders in the AFC following Sunday’s victory over the Tennessee Titans in London. The Chargers were definitely nervous towards the end of the game since the Titans decided to go for the 2-point conversion towards the end, but give the defense credit for holding off when needed the most.

What made this win even more impressive for Los Angeles is they were able to pull it off without Melvin Gordon, who was ruled out not long before the start as a result of a hamstring injury. Throughout the first half of the regular season, Gordon has made a strong name for himself as a top running back in the league, and even though the Chargers only put up 20 points without him, they’re just glad to have earned the victory to improve to 5-2.

With a week off before their next meeting with the Seattle Seahawks, let’s hope Gordon can take advantage of the extra rest to make sure he’ll be ready to go for Week 9. Unlike this time last year, Los Angeles is in great shape, and will hopefully continue to keep it close with the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC West race.
