NFL Power Rankings, Week 8: Eagles collapse in fourth quarter during loss to Panthers

6. Minnesota Vikings
Remember all of that concern surrounding the Minnesota Vikings during the first month of the regular season when they only won once over four games? All of a sudden, the Vikings are finally playing at a high level where they look like the team that was expected to be a top contender in the NFC, especially on offense.
First off, credit deserves to be handed out to Adam Thielen since the Minnesota star wideout broke the 100-yard receiving mark for the seventh game in a row after hauling in nine catches for 110 yards to go along with a score during the team’s 37-17 victory over the New York Jets. On paper, there was every reason to believe the Vikings would have their way for the most part when facing the Jets, but it was still a relief to see them win by 20 points.
Minnesota invested a boatload of money in Kirk Cousins in the offseason after believing he was the missing piece to get them over the hump in the NFC to reach the Super Bowl. After another impressive outing by Cousins, it’s safe to say the Vikings made the right move since he’s been a key role in the team winning three games in a row after Sunday.
