23. New York Jets

Going into Sunday’s contest against a top contender in the NFC with the Minnesota Vikings, the New York Jets knew this would be another major test for Sam Darnold to see where the rookie quarterback stood at the moment. Unfortunately, this turned out to be a game to forget with Darnold after the former USC star finished the afternoon with four turnovers, as the Jets would go on to lose the game 37-17.

Sadly, these kinds of games were sort of expected from Darnold throughout his rookie season since it was clear early on that he was going to be a work in progress during his first NFL season. But like most quarterbacks in his position, New York feels comfortable enough that Darnold’s early experience as a rookie will pay off in the long run to help get him to the necessary level to compete in the future.

With that being said, Darnold could be in for another tough outing in Week 8 since the Jets will face another top defense in the Chicago Bears. As bad as it sounds, when seeing how Darnold looked when facing the Vikings, one can only imagine with a game on the road against the Bears will look like.
