Tyrann Mathieu (Houston Texans)

The Honey Badger struggled early in his career at LSU with off-field issues but has matured into one of the league’s best safeties. This option looked a lot more feasible a few weeks ago as the Houston Texans were in shambles, but they’ve since righted the ship and are contenders in the NFC South.

Tyrann Mathieu fought injury issues his first few seasons but is coming off of his first full season last year with the Cardinals and is a speed demon. He covers the entire field and has a keen eye for where the action is. He reads the quarterback’s eyes and anticipates as well as anyone in the league. Playing alongside Jenkins, the Eagles would easily have one of the top safety duos in the NFL.

Unfortunately, it would most likely take more than the Eagles have to offer to land the Honey Badger. Though it is the dream scenario, it’s highly unlikely that the Texans give up their top safety in the midst of a season that now features a possible playoff run.
