Prediction

So, just like the Eagles, our record on predictions is 2-3. We predicted a 24-20 win for the Eagles on Sunday, and obviously, that was not the case. The score prediction was close, just not the winner.

Traveling on a short week is never easy, and to make it worse, it is against a divisional rival who is extremely desperate. While the Giants need to win this game, the Eagles need it just as bad. If New York loses, then it looks like it will be another lost season for the G-Men, a loss for the Eagles would be just as bad.

The Eagles need to find a way to get off to a fast start. They have started way too slow the past few weeks and were forced to play from behind last week. Philadelphia wants to run the ball more, but can’t do that if they fall behind. Wentz and company must be better early on in games and avoid falling behind the sticks.

On defense, the Eagles have to slow down Barkley and find a way to slow down New York’s passing game. The Eagles cannot afford to give up too many big plays or they will see themselves playing from behind.

The consensus on New York is that they are not a good football team, as was expected before the season. On the other hand, the Eagles were expected to be an elite team and have fallen short of those expectations so far. Are the Eagles a good team? Hopefully, in a few weeks the answer is yes, but right now, the Eagles are not a good football team.

Can they find a way to get it to click? That is so tough to answer because there are so many things that are going wrong with the Eagles right now. They need to protect better and cover better, amongst a variety of things.

If the Eagles get out to a fast start, then I believe they win this football game. If not, and they have to play from behind, then it may be the Giants night. And right now there is nothing to tell me the Eagles can take control of a game yet.

The Giants jump out to a fast start and hold off another late Eagles rally. As much as I hate to do it, I’m picking against the Eagles until they can prove they deserve otherwise. Giants win a close one.
