20. Minnesota Timberwolves

If the Phoenix Suns and Dallas Mavericks are two teams on the rise, pushing towards an eventual return to the NBA playoffs, the Minnesota Timberwolves are a team firmly headed in the opposite direction.

With warring factions splitting the team apart from the inside, Tom Thibodeau‘s newly facelifted ‘TimberBulls’ squad is quickly unraveling and could collapse in a most entertaining way.

Buckle up NBA fans, this is going to be a fun team to watch.

While the actual potential of this squad is a big unknown, as we have no idea what the team will get in an eventual trade for Jimmy Butler, it’s clear that Karl-Anthony Towns and Joel Embiid‘s college teammate Andrew Wiggins simply do not have what it takes to get it done in the Western Conference, and at this point that doesn’t seem like it’s going to change anytime soon.

With Thibs arguably on the hottest seat in the entire NBA, don’t be shocked if the ‘Wolves decide to move on from their head coach mid-season, or honestly if he decides to quit after being routinely undermined by his owner over the offseason. Good thing the team just invested a pair of Max deals on KAT and Wiggins.
