2018 NFL Power Rankings Week 6: Eagles lose tough battle of NFC Championship rematch

28. New York Giants
Lack of offense has been a major concern for the New York Giants this season, and even though some criticized Odell Beckham Jr. for his comments this week, it looks like this was exactly what the unit needed to hear. As impressive as it was to see Beckham have his best game after catching eight passes for 131 yards to go along with a score, just the fact that the Giants put up 31 points was a huge relief, although it would have been great to see them finish on the winning end.
After all the effort put into the comeback, losing a game like this on the road with Graham Gano connecting on a 63-yard field goal hurts big time for New York when seeing how much of a struggle it’s been to win games in 2018. But if the Giants need to be positive, at least the offense finally played with the necessary spark that hasn’t been there over first month and a half, as now the question becomes whether Beckham can continue playing at this high level moving forward.
Then again, if New York truly wants to be a serious threat on offense, the offensive line needs to do a better job at opening holes up for Saquon Barkley, who finished with just 48 yards on 15 carries. The whole reason why the Giants selected the former Penn State star was due to the fact that he could be used in multiple ways on offense, but the team needs more from Barkley in the ground game to put them in better position to win more games.
