29. Arizona Cardinals

On paper, it wasn’t the most impressive performance by Josh Rosen since he only completed 10 of 25 passes for 170 yards with a touchdown, but since the Arizona Cardinals ended up winning their first game of 2018, this was the most important factor of all. The Cardinals received plenty of criticism in the offseason for their decision to pay Sam Bradford all of that money, and even though it looks like a complete waste now since Rosen has taken over the starting job, all the team can do is just admit how much of a mistake it was to sign the former No. 1 pick.

At least when it comes to Rosen, this surprise experience as a rookie has the potential to pay off in a big way in the long run since he’s clearly still a work in progress, which is fine since that tends to be the case for most quarterbacks during their first season. Even if most of Rosen’s production came on a single play during a 75-yard touchdown for Christian Kirk, this was certainly a confidence boost for the rookie quarterback.

Now that he has that first win under his belt, hopefully Rosen will use Sunday’s game as a way to keep the momentum going to give Arizona something to be excited about for a change. The Cardinals understand the importance of being patient with their rookie quarterback, but this is at least a start for Rosen.
