2018 NFL Power Rankings Week 6: Eagles lose tough battle of NFC Championship rematch
By Dan Parzych
30. Oakland Raiders
Did the Oakland Raiders make a terrible mistake in paying all of that money to Jon Gruden when looking at how frustrating the first five games have been so far? Bringing the new head coach on board was supposed to help this offense reach a whole new level when looking at his history of quarterback development, but so far everything has been a complete disaster for the most part in Oakland.
Keep in mind how close this team is to being winless as well since they barely escaped a win in Week 4 against the Cleveland Browns, and it makes this whole situation with the Raiders even more frustrating to see. Between Derek Carr continuing to struggle to the defense looking helpless with Khalil Mack no longer in the picture, the Raiders could see their season already be over in another month or so if they continue to play at this disappointing rate.
What makes this whole situation in Oakland even more frustrating to see is when looking at the weapons Carr has to work with, there’s no reason for this team to be putting up 10 points like they did on Sunday. At this point, saying Gruden is on the hot seat would be a huge understatement since this decision can only be described as an absolute disaster so far with the Raiders.
