11. Jacksonville Jaguars

A win on the road against the undefeated Kansas City Chiefs would have been a major statement for the Jacksonville Jaguars since there have been times in which they looked like a top contender in the AFC. But after seeing the results of Sunday’s game in their loss to the Chiefs, the Jaguars seem like a work in progress, especially when looking at how poor they played on the offensive side of the football.

First off, Jacksonville’s defense knew they would be in for one of their biggest tests of the year keeping Patrick Mahomes II in check, which they seemed to do for the most part after preventing him from tossing a touchdown pass, although he did rush for one. Still, the fact that Kansas City managed to put up 30 points in a game when Mahomes didn’t have a single touchdown pass shows the kind of day it was for Jacksonville since this loss was a tough pill to swallow.

To top off the frustration on defense, Blake Bortles was horrendous for the most part on offense after throwing four interceptions. The Chiefs’ defense ranked near the bottom of the league heading into this contest, and seeing the Jaguars struggles the way they did to put up points shows how much work they have to do the rest of the way if this team is going to have any shot at being a top contender in the conference.
