27. Cleveland Browns

Looking back, the Cleveland Browns have no one to blame other than themselves for allowing the Oakland Raiders to get back into Sunday’s game when considering they were up 14 points in the middle of the third quarter. The level of excitement was high for Baker Mayfield heading into this game too since it would mark his first career start, but unfortunately the Browns rookie quarterback had one of those games filled with plenty of mistakes, especially in the turnover department.

One week after pulling the unthinkable by leading Cleveland to their first win since the 2016 season, Mayfield saw different results when facing Oakland after finishing the game with four turnovers. Also, it’s not every game that a team ends up losing despite scoring 42 points, but that was exactly the case for the Browns, making this loss even more frustrating to see happen.

Cleveland’s defense has played well for the most part this season, but this team just couldn’t figure out a way to keep Derek Carr and the rest of Oakland’s offense in check when it mattered the most. Not to mention, 24 of those 45 points scored by the Raiders happened to come in the fourth quarter and overtime, showing once again this Browns’ defense still has plenty of learning to do.
