2. Kansas City Chiefs

Despite how easy he was making it look through the first three weeks, the Kansas City Chiefs knew Monday’s game on the road against the Denver Broncos would be the most difficult challenge for Patrick Mahomes II to date. Even if the young quarterback pulled off an epic win on the road in a hostile environment when defeating the Pittsburgh Steelers a few weeks back, Andy Reid knew this wouldn’t compare to what the atmosphere of Broncos fans was going to be like.

Numbers wise, Mahomes’ statistics didn’t stand out like some of his other games, but seeing him help Kansas City rally from a 10-point deficit in the fourth quarter to pull off the 27-23 win shows once again how special he truly is under center. The Chiefs received plenty of criticism for moving on from Alex Smith the way they did in the offseason, but Mahomes provides a different kind of spark for this offense that has resulted in Kansas City being a serious Super Bowl contender.

Watching Mahomes throw the football on the move is absolutely incredible, and what’s even more exciting is the new Kansas City star still hasn’t thrown an interception through four games in 2018. There will be a time to discuss his chances in winning the MVP award, but for now, the Chiefs are just going to enjoy this big win over the Broncos thanks to Mahomes.
