12. Denver Broncos

The Denver Broncos seemed to be on their way to handing the Kansas City Chiefs their first loss of the 2018 season before blowing a 10-point lead in the fourth quarter, showing once again just how special of a quarterback Patrick Mahomes II is. From the perspective of the Broncos, maybe Case Keenum can learn a thing or two from the young Chiefs quarterback since the offense certainly could have used a much more fired up quarterback themselves on offense.

After spending the last couple of years trying to address their problems under center, Denver was willing to open up their checkbook for Keenum in the offseason with a hefty deal, but so far, the argument can be made he hasn’t lived up to the hype. Not only did Keenum fail to throw a single touchdown pass in the loss to the Chiefs, but he missed a golden opportunity to win the game towards the end when he overthrew a wide open Demaryius Thomas near the end zone.

On top of this, Keenum still has more interceptions than touchdowns through four games, and while Denver seems high on this list, keep in mind they’re only here as a result of the tough battle they put up against their division rivals. But unless Keenum figures out a way to get out of this funk on offense, it’s going to be difficult for the Broncos to compete.
