7. Chicago Bears

Deep down, the Chicago Bears must have known Sunday’s game on the road against the Arizona Cardinals was going to be a trap, which seemed to be the case when seeing how awful they looked for the most part in the first half. But at the end of the day, the Bears were able to come through with the win, and thanks to some help from across the league, the team is all alone on top of the NFC North at the moment.

Obviously, Chicago still has a long way to go since it’s only been three games, and teams like the Minnesota Vikings along with the Green Bay Packers aren’t going to make it easy, but at least it’s a confidence booster. When looking at how long it’s actually been since the Bears could even be placed in the category of contenders in the NFC, the team should be thrilled over where they stand at the moment, and must love the way the defense continues to play.

Once again, Khalil Mack continues to show he was well worth giving up two first-round picks to acquire after recording two more sacks on the Cardinals. At this pace, Mack is making an early case for Defensive Player of the Year, and it’s insane to think about the numbers he’s putting up after only coming over right before the start of Week 1.
