9. Jacksonville Jaguars

Should Sunday’s loss to the Tennessee Titans be viewed as a major wakeup call for the Jacksonville Jaguars? While the argument can be made that Jacksonville overlooked this contest since they were coming off a huge win over the New England Patriots along with dealing with a banged up Tennessee team, there isn’t a valid excuse for something like this.

If anything, the Jaguars missed out on a golden opportunity to increase their lead in the AFC South, only to technically be trailing Tennessee at the moment as a result of the tiebreaker from Sunday’s head-to-head loss. On paper, the Jaguars’ defense has established a reputation for being one of the top units in the NFL, but also keep in mind that in a loss like this in which neither team scored a touchdown, it’s the offense that receivers most of the blame.

Watching Jacksonville’s defense limit Tennessee to just three field goal while seeing Blake Bortles and the offense only score six points is completely unacceptable. Down the road, this is going to be one of those losses by the Jaguars in which they look back, and realize they easily should have come through with the win over the Titans.
