14. Washington Redskins

As bad as it sounds, the Washington Redskins entered Week 3 as one of the most difficult teams to figure out since they looked unbelievable opening weekend, only to take a step back in Week 2 following a tough loss at home to the Indianapolis Colts. With the Green Bay Packers coming to town, the Redskins knew they would be in for a difficult battle against an offense loaded with talent, so seeing them win the way they did was a huge relief.

Holding the Packers to scoring just 17 points while taking advantage of Aaron Rodgers continuing to be hobbled by an injured leg was one thing, but seeing the Redskins’ offense come alive with 31 points was amazing to see. Give Alex Smith credit for bouncing back with a strong performance after all of the struggles a week ago during the team’s loss to Indianapolis since Washington wanted to feel better about the veteran being the answer for at least the next couple of seasons.

Along with Smith, the Redskins loved to see Peterson burn his former division rivals for a strong game on the ground after finishing with 120 rushing yards to go along with two trips into the end zone. All of a sudden, Washington is back in the discussion of a potential sleeper contender in the NFC, just like they were following Week 1.
