See where the Philadelphia Eagles stand in the 2018 NFL Power Rankings for Week 4 with Carson Wentz back under center.

One week after taking a little bit of a dip, the Philadelphia Eagles were hoping to escape Sunday’s game against the Indianapolis Colts with a win to improve their chances of moving up again on the 2018 NFL Power Rankings for Week 4. It wasn’t the best of performances as a result of Carson Wentz playing his first game since December along with terrible weather conditions, but at the end of the day, the Eagles held on for the 20-16 win over the Colts, which is all that matters the most.

As soon as the news broke last week that Wentz was cleared for contact, and eligible to start in Week 3 when facing Indianapolis, Philadelphia knew they would have to be patient with their franchise quarterback since there was a good chance he was going to be rusty. Yes, as mentioned before, the weather conditions didn’t exactly put the quarterback in the best position, but also Wentz made some costly mistakes that easily could have been avoided.

Whether it was under-throwing certain receivers or finishing with two turnovers, Wentz will hopefully look at this first game back as a learning experience to make sure he improves for next weekend’s game down south when they take on the 2-1 Tennessee Titans.

Andrew Luck and the Colts certainly didn’t make it easy, but also Wentz deserves some credit for stepping it up when needed the most towards the end of the game to help the Eagles earn their second win of the 2018 season. Philadelphia is going to be a strong contender in the NFC as long as they continue winning key games like this one, and let’s take a look at how much Sunday helped Doug Pederson’s team in the latest NFL Power Rankings for Week 4.
