1. Call Broncos about Demaryius Thomas

Similar to Bryant, there was a time from 2012-14 in which Demaryius Thomas was considered to be one of the most dangerous receivers in the league, and rightfully so when looking at the numbers he was putting together. Sure, the argument can be made that Peyton Manning helped bring the best out of Thomas from a talent perspective, but also the Denver Broncos know what he’s capable of, and have dealt with some frustration over him struggling to return to that level.

Not only were Thomas’ numbers in 2017 his worst since 2011, but the Broncos wideout hasn’t exactly gotten off to the best of starts this season with just 11 catches for 81 yards and a score through the first two games. Bringing Case Keenum on board was supposed to help Thomas return to his effective level from a few years ago, and while that could still very well end up happening, this isn’t the start Denver wanted to see.

The Broncos seemed convinced that Thomas was worth bringing back for the 2018 season, but that doesn’t mean their minds could change. Plus, when looking at some of the younger talent Denver has to work with on offense, the argument could also be made they would be just fine without Thomas, which is why the Eagles may want to consider this as an option.
