5. Call up Braxton Miller

After the Houston Texans decided to move on from Braxton Miller by releasing him after the preseason, the Eagles decided the former Ohio State star was worth signing to the practice squad. When looking at some of the options Philadelphia currently has to work with at the receiver position, the case can be made that Miller would be an upgrade at the position, and could make an impact right away.

Since nobody wanted to give him a chance at quarterback, Houston decided to take a chance on Miller back in 2016 during the third round of the NFL Draft with the hope he would make a smooth transition to wide receiver. And while the potential always seemed to be there for Miller, it was tough for him to stand out for the Texans in a crowded receiving corps.

Between his quickness and speed, it’s easy to understand why the Eagles were willing to give it a shot with Miller on the practice squad since the situation seems to be a lot better for him than the one in Houston since he has a better chance to make a name for himself. If Philadelphia is going to explore all options, why not just see what Miller can bring to the table on the football field?
