11. New Orleans Saints

Lucky or not, the important thing for the New Orleans Saints is they managed to figure out a way to get by the Cleveland Browns in Week 2 to avoid starting off the season 0-2 for a second year in a row. With all due respect to the Browns, many expected this to be a blowout by the Saints after their surprising loss at home the week before against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but that was far from the case.

Scoring just three points over the first three quarters of this game simply won’t cut it for a team like New Orleans, and they better figure out a way to make the necessary adjustments heading into Week 3. Otherwise, it’s only going to make things even more difficult for the Saints when it comes to returning to the playoffs.

On another note, it’s amazing to watch Michael Thomas (12 catches for 89 yards with two scores) continue to develop into one of the league’s top receivers, as the former Buckeye seems to only get better with experience. At this rate, Thomas is going to end up with a career year, and will continue being a key factor in determining whether New Orleans has what it takes to continue being a top contender in the NFC.
