18. Miami Dolphins

Early signs point to the Miami Dolphins becoming a surprise contender in the AFC similar to two years ago after seeing their impressive 2-0 start, even if their wins came against the Tennessee Titans and New York Jets. Most importantly, the Dolphins are thrilled to see Ryan Tannehill healthy after all of the frustrations from the previous two seasons, because if this team is going to truly contend in the AFC, it will most likely fall on the shoulders of their quarterback.

Losing Tannehill early on last season was a tough adjustment for Miami, especially since Jay Cutler ended up being far from the answer the offense needed under center. And even though the Dolphins were considering the thought of finding a new quarterback to build the franchise around, giving Tannehill another chance already seems to be working out for the best with all parties.

Competing in the AFC East when looking at the success of the New England Patriots is never an easy task, but the Dolphins know keeping up with their division rivals is going to be the only chance they have at earning a trip to the playoffs. With a meeting at home against the winless Oakland Raiders, Miami must love their chance of possibly starting 3-0 to the young season.
