As the Villanova football team looks to improve to 3-0 on Saturday with a game against Towson, the Wildcats hope to see another big game from Zach Bednarczyk.

It’s hard to believe the middle of September is already here, as the Villanova football team hopes to continue their success from the first two weeks of the 2018 season following back-to-back impressive wins.

Holding off Temple 19-17 the way they did was one thing, but coming out firing the following week against Lehigh for a 31-9 win shows the Wildcats may have something special brewing, especially at the quarterback position.

After being limited to playing in just five games last year as a result of a torn ACL, Zach Bednarczyk was hoping to make a strong impact during his senior season with the team, and so far he’s gotten off to a pretty amazing start.

Not only has Bednarczyk thrown three touchdown passes in each of the first two contests for Villanova, but as mentioned before, it’s led to the Wildcats starting off with a 2-0 record before Saturday’s showdown with Towson.

With the high level Bednarczyk has been playing on, there’s every reason to believe the Villanova quarterback will keep that trend going on Saturday to put the team in great shape to improve to 3-0, although that’s always easier said than done.

Towson’s first game against Morgan State was the perfect way to start off the new season since they were able to come through with the 36-10 win. And even though playing Wake Forest was a big wakeup call for Towson last weekend during their 51-20 loss, the Wildcats may end up being their toughest opponent yet.

Between Bednarczyk off to a hot start along with the Wildcats as a team allowing just 26 points over their first two games, Towson will certainly have their hands full in this one.

When looking at all of the uncertainty surrounding Bednarczyk after last year’s injury, Villanova has every reason in the world to be thrilled over his production through the first two games, especially since he only tossed six touchdowns in those five games in 2017.

The fact that Bednarczyk has already matched his touchdown total from a year ago shows how far he’s come since suffering that torn ACL. And if Bednarczyk continues to play at this high level on Saturday when taking on Towson, there’s a good chance Villanova will be able to lock up that third win of the season.
