4. Kamar Aiken

The decision by Philadelphia to bring back Kamar Aiken while releasing Markus Wheaton is one of those low-risk moves that will hopefully pay off in a big way, even if a big part of the decision was due to the impact he can make on special teams. Throughout the offseason, the Eagles did everything they could in bringing veteran talent on board to put them in better position to get by at the beginning of the season, and if Aiken could become a surprise impact on offense, it would certainly help against the Buccaneers.

Numbers wise, Aiken may not seem like much to brag about with just 44 catches over the last two seasons with stints on the Baltimore Ravens and Indianapolis Colts. However, one of the main reasons why Philadelphia believes Aiken could be worth the risk is due to his 2015 season in which he hauled in 75 passes for 944 yards to go along with five touchdowns, all of which happen to be career highs.

If Aiken makes enough contributions this weekend to put the Eagles in better position to beat the Buccaneers, it will only help his case to stick around on the roster moving forward for the remainder of the season. But before jumping that far ahead, Aiken needs to focus on one game at a time, beginning on Sunday in Tampa Bay.
