4. Minnesota Vikings

In their first game since that embarrassing loss in the NFC Championship to the Philadelphia Eagles, the Minnesota Vikings were able to come out on top of what turned out to be a tough battle with the San Francisco 49ers in Week 1. After signing a hefty contract in the offseason, all eyes were on Kirk Cousins to see if the new Vikings quarterback would live up to the hype, which he did for the most part.

Throwing for 244 yards with two touchdowns doesn’t stand out like some of the other performances from Week 1, but also the most important factor of all is Cousins helped Minnesota hang on for the win. When looking at the dynamic duo in Stefon Diggs and Adam Thielen that Cousins has to work with along with Dalvin Cook returning after suffering a torn ACL early on last year, this Vikings’ offense is in great position for success during the 2018 season.

Speaking of Cook, the running back may not have made as much of an impact in the rushing department after finishing with 40 yards on 16 carries, but seeing him haul in six catches for 55 yards shows he can be valuable in other areas as well. With a game in the books under Cousins, this offense seems to be only scratching the surface of their potential playing with Cousins.
